Description

This industrial wide band wet mop is made of high quality rayon, ideal for general purpose floor cleaning. Economy priced and semi-disposable (laundering not recommended).

The DiamaScreen 400 grit screen provides surface scratch removal on concrete, natural stone and terrazzo floors. It is one of the most versatile and efficient solutions for floor restoration. Ideal for use on standard speed floor machines and automatic scrubbers up to 350 rpm pad speed.

Content

Rayon Mop Yarn is superior in absorbency and does not require a break in period. Rayon yarn is also more bleach and mildew resistant than cotton yarn. Rayon is more durable because it is produced with 100% long staple synthetic fibers.

Please note: all cut end rayon wet mops are ACTUAL WEIGHT, these mops are NOT numbered mops, you're actually getting what you paid for. When would you want to use a Rayon Mop? Rayon mops serve a unique purpose; they will not completely leave a floor dry. Rayon fibers absorbs water fast but will not hold it like a cotton blend or microfiber. When applying floor finish or germicidal detergent, you NEED to leave product on the floor and this is where Rayon is your first choice. If you need a floor to dry FAST, choose either a cotton / rayon blended mop or a looped end microfiber mop. Need help choosing the right wet mop? 400 Grit Scratch Removal Screen

This 400 grit screen when used on concrete or terrazzo will remove most surface scratches and imperfections in preparation for the next screen used in the process, 600 grit. If a higher level of gloss is preferred we recommend implementing the Twister pad system or the 600 grit Gold DiamaScreen as your next step.

The DiamaScreen system requires three items to complete the set

1 - Pad holder
1 - Standard floor pad - Red (match the size of the screen you're using)
1 - Center lock pad holder
1 - Safety ring (included)

The screens are sold in pairs and include (1) pad safety ring (centering ring), available in the following sizes: 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20 inch diameter.

How much surface area can I cover with a DiamaScreen?

DiamaScreens can cover up to 30,000 square feet using a standard 350 rpm floor machine. Bear in mind, this assumes making one pass on a floor. If the floor requires 3 passes to achieve the desired results, your coverage will be 10,000 square feet per screen or 20,000 per case of 2 screens.

DiamaScreens are available in 3 grits:

Red 220 grit (most aggressive)
Orange 400 grit (moderate)
Gold 600 grit (least aggressive)

Heavily scratched floors may require starting with 400 or 220 grit screens. Use the 600 grit for producing a satin smooth surface. DiamaScreens are designed for use with water (not for dry use).
