A multi-purpose metal polish for a variety of metals including brass, copper, stainless steel, chrome, pewter, and bronze. Brings luster to your home. Brasso Metal Polish is so gentle on most metals, it will not scratch or mar them, however, it is not recommended for use on aluminum. Brass: True brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. It tends to oxidize (tarnish) quickly when exposed to air, which is a major reason why most brass is given a clear coating of lacquer to prevent this condition. Polishing: One of the best tools which provides just the right amount of oil onto metal is a "yellow" treated dust cloth. Wipe down brass with this cloth and then buff it dry with a soft, cotton cloth or MicroFiber wipe. This trace amount of oil in the cloth should not smear or discolor, especially after buffing. History: Brasso has been in use for over 110 years, originating in Britain in 1905 after a representative from the company Reckitt and Sons brought a sample of liquid metal polish from Australia. The polish grew in popularity in England, eventually replacing the previous paste-style polishes. It has undergone very few changes in both composition and package design over the past century. Cans are often collected as a typical example of classic British advertising design.

Directions:

Brasso works by dissolution and abrasion, forming ammonia complexes with the tarnishing material, which its abrasive additive then removes more easily than it would the pure tarnish. A water-soluble oil then fills in the micro scratches to prevent them from immediately beginning to oxidize.

Sanding Screens (Screen Discs) - Mesh screen disc with strong fiber, uniform open construction and consistent cut from start to finish. Sanding Screens are an open mesh fabric heavily coated with silicon carbide abrasive. Its durable, open weave mesh design is non-loading and coated on both sides for longer lasting reversible wet or dry use. Sanding Screens are available in a number of different mineral grades: 60, 80, 100, 120 and 150 grit.

Screen Tip: Screens can be rinsed and reused to prolong sanding life. Rinsing the screens removes any debris or build up in the screen, exposing a fresh cutting surface. Always place a RED pad between the screen disc and the pad holder.

Place a red floor pad on top to use as a drive pad
Place a standard speed floor machine (175-300 rpm) with a the proper (balanced) pad holder on top of the pad and screen

This is the best general purpose looped end wet mop for everyday cleaning. The green yarn does a great job of keeping the mop looking good, unlike that of using a pure white mop.
