Average Life Expectancy

Under normal conditions (according to the manufacturer) the Twister Red (400 grit) pad will last between 10,000 - 12,000 square feet before it's time to replace it. In a real world application the actual life is more along the lines of 2,000 - 4,000 square feet.

This is factoring in making 4-6 passes over the floor in order to perform the proper surface in preparation for the next step.

Maintenance of the Twister Pad:

Twister Red (400 grit) pad is designed for use with an automatic scrubber or standard speed floor machine with an operating speed between 150 -350 rpm. Do not use a high-speed burnisher with the Twister Red pad.

1. Remove pad from machine after each use.

2. Rinse the pad thoroughly with water. This removes dirt that can wear on the floor and your Twister Pad.

SuperCourt cleaning pads are effective cleaning tools used to damp mop your floor. This looped pile microfiber pad is designed to be more efficient at lifting and removing dirt and soil from your gym floor. These microfiber pads utilize a combination poly/nylon extrusion that allows for superior fiber separation allowing more fiber area to pick up dirt and soil.

How To Clean Your Gym Floor:

Most gym court floors are used throughout the day and are often abused with street shoes, equipment, chairs, and tables. The dirt and grit that's tracked onto your gym floor is often very abrasive. If the dirt and grit is not picked up off the floor daily your gym floor may become dull and slippery.

The floor should be dust mopped several times during the day to remove dust, grit, and dirt. At the end of each day or before a game, the floor should be dust mopped using the SuperCourt System equipped with the microfiber dusting pad as the first step. Secondly, dampen the cleaning pad in a solution of water mixed with Prime Time gym floor cleaner (10 parts water - 1 part cleaner). This damp cleaning process will deep clean and increase traction to your floor.

Daily Maintenance:

Your gym floor should be dust mopped with the SuperCourt dusting pad daily to remove dust, dirt, and other abrasive particles. Do not use a traditional dust mop on a gym floor. It is counterproductive due to its inability to hold/retain dust very well and often requires a treatment that could leave a residue on the floor. Damp mop spills with this cleaning pad dampened with Prime Time cleaner to remove soil with no residue or soap haze.
