Parish Maintenance Supply History
|
|
| |
Parish Maintenance Supply, established 1911 as Parish Broom and Brush Company in Parish,
New York as a broom and brush maker. The primary business then was the manufacturing and
distributing of Street Brooms." We made and shipped Parish brooms as far west as
Chicago IL. (A major feat considering the only available transportation in 1911 was the
railroad.) The company continued manufacturing and distributing brooms and brushes through
the late thirties. |

The turning point
was in 1947, when the company's focus changed to the janitorial supply business and
out of the broom and brush making. John F. Cowmeadow and John R. Gosson led the company in
a new direction. Today, we specialize in the distribution and implementation of
housekeeping and janitorial supplies and services. Diversifying and changing with the
times has kept Parish Maintenance Supply a leader in our field.
